♥ H2H ♥ New Challenge + Cardabilities New Challenge

Attempting to combine some challenges this week from two fabulous websites, Heart2Heart: http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/
and Cardabilities: http://cardabilities.blogspot.com/
Had some trouble coming up with what I liked ... but I think in the end , after a little added sparkle and some brads, that they'll pass for now.
Thanks so much for looking!!

CASE Study Challenge #16 - A New Day, A New Challenge :)

WooHoo; I found another amazing site full of great ideas and gorgeous inspiration and best of all, challenges! :)
The cards at CASE study are phenomenal and "on a whole 'nother level" but I thought it would be fun to play and make a card for one of my dear friend's birthday so I gave it a try ... Thanks for looking!
When you go to CASE study there is an amazingly beautiful card up for inspiration. The things that inspired me and that I wanted to emulate on my card were as follows, the lovely, large, off center scallop circle. The gorgeous shimmery three flowers, the simple background and the ribbon bow, (I wish I could have gotten mine to stay a little more sideways but I'm certainly not going to rip it apart now!) and the simple sentiment stamped directly on the card base.
People @ CASE, THANK YOU for the inspiration and delightful website full of talent and fabulous sharing!

The Play Date Cafe Challenge (PDCC) --- A Color Challenge!

I just LOVE a new challenge and when I saw this amazing site with challenges I had to play along! I found this gorgeous and inspirational site by following a link through the talented Andrea Ewan's blog. I must say there is nothing I enjoy more than hanging up my laundry on the line outside, winter, spring, summer or fall. I think it's positively therapeutic! And I absolutely love clothes pins; my most prized possessions of clothes pins are these delightful, very old, very weathered, beautiful clothes pins that my best friend, my Grandma, gave to me. When I saw this challenge, I was so inspired to play along ~ Well, this time of year, the borders of my yard look exactly like this card; weathered, gray and brown, with a hint of silvery shine, fragile, flowers ... full of happy memories from the summer.
So I made these two cards for the challenge this morning and I hope you like them. Nothing fancy ... I was going to put a layered flower on the lower left to help close the joy fold, but I'm not feeling it now - let me know what you think. (I'm going to call this my ten pound card because it is so many layers of CTMH textured card stock and weighs a ton! I used CTMH paper and stamps by the way. The card stock is the "back side" of the textured card stock) Thank you so much for looking :) Have a wonderful day!
