CASE Study Challenge #16 - A New Day, A New Challenge :)
WooHoo; I found another amazing site full of great ideas and gorgeous inspiration and best of all, challenges! :)
The cards at CASE study are phenomenal and "on a whole 'nother level" but I thought it would be fun to play and make a card for one of my dear friend's birthday so I gave it a try ... Thanks for looking!
When you go to CASE study there is an amazingly beautiful card up for inspiration. The things that inspired me and that I wanted to emulate on my card were as follows, the lovely, large, off center scallop circle. The gorgeous shimmery three flowers, the simple background and the ribbon bow, (I wish I could have gotten mine to stay a little more sideways but I'm certainly not going to rip it apart now!) and the simple sentiment stamped directly on the card base.
People @ CASE, THANK YOU for the inspiration and delightful website full of talent and fabulous sharing!

The Play Date Cafe Challenge (PDCC) --- A Color Challenge!
I just LOVE a new challenge and when I saw this amazing site with challenges I had to play along! I found this gorgeous and inspirational site by following a link through the talented Andrea Ewan's blog. I must say there is nothing I enjoy more than hanging up my laundry on the line outside, winter, spring, summer or fall. I think it's positively therapeutic! And I absolutely love clothes pins; my most prized possessions of clothes pins are these delightful, very old, very weathered, beautiful clothes pins that my best friend, my Grandma, gave to me. When I saw this challenge, I was so inspired to play along ~ Well, this time of year, the borders of my yard look exactly like this card; weathered, gray and brown, with a hint of silvery shine, fragile, flowers ... full of happy memories from the summer.
So I made these two cards for the challenge this morning and I hope you like them. Nothing fancy ... I was going to put a layered flower on the lower left to help close the joy fold, but I'm not feeling it now - let me know what you think. (I'm going to call this my ten pound card because it is so many layers of CTMH textured card stock and weighs a ton! I used CTMH paper and stamps by the way. The card stock is the "back side" of the textured card stock) Thank you so much for looking :) Have a wonderful day!
♥ H2H ♥ New challenge - A Card of Thanks
Well, I have lots to be thankful for ~ I was even blessed enough to be in the Friday 5 this week ~ Thank YOU Heart2Heart! Here is my Thank you card for this week's challenge. I just had to play with the gorgeous new colors I finally got; I love them! This is a 6x6 inch card using Pacifica, Lagoon and Sky. Stamps are "A little of Everything" (I think) and "Many Thanks", (I think). My apologies, the ribbon is not CTMH but matched so nicely I had to use it, please don't shun me :) THANKS for looking and have a Delightful day!

H2H Challenge - Out of Shape!
Well, as always, I was challenged! I'm beginning to think I'm just plain challenged in general! ;)
Then I saw all the lovely cards from all the amazing H2H participants and was inspired. When I saw there was a prize up from the phenomenal Andrea if 40 posted, I just had to join in. Nothing very fancy ... just sweet and simple. Perhaps I will add a little sparkle to the center of the smaller goldrush flowers.
I made this card with one of my best friends in the world on my mind and she is everything and more of what the card says ♥ Love you Janette! ♥
I used mostly card stock, vineyard berry and parchment. The stamp sets I used were Friendship Word Puzzle, All My Love, & just a wee little flower from Aspiration. The inks used were vineyard berry and goldrush and hollyhock.
That's it. :)

♥ H2H ♥ New challenge - Colors - Wait for Me; I want to Play too!
Well, I'm afraid I do not have brown bag anything - so I used Dessert Sand - and I only had Sunset ink - and had both ink and paper for the lovely Indian Corn Blue!
So, this was not my favorite color combination; I wasn't very inspired by it at all.
I used the September Stamp set for this 6x6 card, Indian Corn Blue base, Dessert Sand and Sunset flowers, Colonial White back ground. I inked the edges of the sentiment strips with Sunset and the other backgrounds one with Indian Corn Blue and one with Sunset. I was thinking Remembrance Day when I creating these this afternoon ... as I do not really love these colors together but think the actual card layout didn't turn out too bad, I may re-make it with more Remembrance Day Colors and see if I like it better.
Thanks for looking and letting me play with all you great professionals! :)

A new week - a new challenge - embossing!
Here are some heat emboss cards but unfortunately the shiny loveliness of the embossing doesn't show up so well in these photos. The hearts are hand cut and popped up with pop dots too ... also doesn't show too well; they look better in person ... put on your sweater and come on over for coffee and I'll show you in person :)
Here are some dry emboss cards, sweet and simple ... not quite up to par with the amazing work you others provide to this challenge but it's what I can do for now :)

ABC Heart 2 Heart Challenge :)
Well, I really tried this week and I just feel like the more I tried the more I messed up this card ... I had this idea in my head but it just didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. Maybe you could let me know what you think and give me some suggestions if you have any. Here are three of my tries for your critique.
The colors I used were Indian corn blue, Chocolate, (Of course), Lilac Mist I think and Bamboo. The stamp set was Felicity and the little heart is from Soul Mates I think.
Thanks for looking and have a fantastic weekend! :)
