A sweet & simple card: Verve stamp (one of my all time favorite stamps EVER!) and some yummy new CTMH paper :) My sunshine is already to be sent - tomorrow morning - to three very special people in my life ♥ Thanks for a great challenge Verve!

Splendid, Sunshiney thoughts! All CTMH on this one :)
More Sunshine, all Close To My Heart ... different paper and stamp theme ... not sure if it matches but I like it. Hope you do to :)

Play Date Cafe Challenge 96

This is the lovely, soft and sweet color challenge from Play Date Cafe this week ... I wasn't going to play but then it popped up on my FaceBook and said "you still have time to play today" and I just couldn't resist :)

Here's is my very soft and sweet card. Aside from the sentiment, which I LOVE! Don't you love it!?! Images are all second generation stamped for a faint, softer feel. I saw a gorgeous white on white card the other day and wanted to do something similar, Ivory on Ivory. I used all CTMH products for this card.

For the Verve August Sketch Challenge

I like this one ... I made another but tried to incorporate a color challenge also and therefore ... wasn't too crazy about it so didn't share on Split Coast ... Any way; this is the one I posted and I think it's kinda cool. Thanks for looking!

CAS-ual Fridays Its a 2 in 1 challenge!

Here's the Clean and Simple Creative Inspiration from CAS-ual Fridays this week -- Thanks!

Here's one card I made, I used direct stamp pad to paper. this one I used the same color and tried to triple swipe the pad to get the three color effect ... didn't work to well in this case.

This is my second card - this time used three different colors of ink - I like it but ran out of room for the sentiment - oops! Doesn't get much cleaner or simpler or stamped than this now does it!?!? Thank you for looking and I hope you have a delightful day.

The Play Date Cafe Challenge

This is the fun fabulous and colorful challenge from Play Date this week

I made two cards ... neither of them turned out much like I expected ... or had in my head ... but here they are :)

I really liked what I did with the stamping on the lime frame ... but the inside didn't turn out how I wanted at all ...

After I kept messing up the inside of the smile card, I just decided to flip the center over and go this route ... plain but I kind of like it ...

CASE Study turns 1 ♥ Happy Birthday CASE!

This week it's CASE Study Challenge's Very First Birthday!
Happy Birthday to YOU CASE Study!!
Here's the challenge:
" Your inspiration this week would come from the work of any of our Designers - past or present. "

Here is the card I was inspired by. This card was created by the very talented Jill and you can visit her blog here
You should check out her site and see whom she was inspired by too; it's just a wonderful cycle of love and inspiration for ALL!

And here is the card I made:
My intention was to stamp the flowers in the upper right and the sentiment in the lower left, like Jill's ...but somehow it just turned out like this ... go figure! :) I will say that no one person could ever be my one inspiration ... after hopping through all the amazing blogs and viewing beautiful card after card, I was just ready to create!  So a huge thank you to all who participated! Thanks!!

It's a 3 for One! Busy Summer Days Call for a Triple Play!

Well, with four boys under foot and so much summer fun going on, I'm finding myself a little short on time lately. So I decided to check out CAS-ual Fridays ... I was so excited for the challenges to start and I don't think I've even been able to play in one yet! The CAS challenge was to create a 9x4 card. Hmmm, I thought, I can swing that. Than I lolly-gagged my way over to one of my favorite sites of all time: The Play Date Cafe and I saw the lovely color challenge up for this week ... well, I thought I could probably work those colors into a 4x9 card. That of course made me think of another fabulous site I like to frequent, CASE study! So I ran right over there to see a positively gorgeous card that also inspired me. Hmmm again. I wonder what what would happen if I took a few minutes and stirred these three challenges together.

Here's my card, inspired by a trio of challenges from CAS-ual Fridays, The Play Date Cafe and CASE Study. I whipped up this sweet and ever so simple card in less than twenty minutes. All products CTMH this time. I can't encourage you enough to check out these wonderful and amazing sites! You won't be sorry!
Here's the fabulous inspiration from CASE study; absolutely Lovely card! Please take a look at the CASE Study Blog here: CASE STUDY CHALLENGE!

Oh Play Date Cafe how I LOVE You! These are the Beautiful Colors we were challenged to work with this week. Please check out this site here: PLAY DATE CAFE!

And Last, but certainly in NO WAY least the wonderful CAS-ual Fridays Blog; This is such a fantastic site: CAS-ual Fridays!

VERVE Challenge ♥ Sentimental About Paper!

The second I read " Sentimental About Paper!"
I knew what paper you were talking about for me! Talk about hoarding! Words can not express my love for this Cosmo Cricket Paper! The one with the sun lit clouds floating happily in a vintage blue sky; Scrumptious! For awhile, I perhaps had just enough of this paper to wall paper at least one room in my home. So for this challenge, as I wait patiently for my new parcel of Verve stamps to arrive in the mail;
I broke out the last of my stash!
I combined challenges ... since I have been in a
"busy Mom's funk"
for over a month now ... so I hope that's okay. The other challenge I submitted this for is Week 3 of the Verve Sketch Challenges. LOVED this challenge & LOVED the sketch by the way!
Thanks so much for the SUPER Inspiration!

After months of waiting and great anticipation; the first challenge is finally here; YAY! Unfortunately, it has fallen into a week with ZERO minutes of "play time" ... so my card is definitely casual!

CAS-ual Fridays ❀ Mojo ❀ Week 190 Challenge

Buttons and Twine Challenge posted just after I posted buttons & twine; Go figure! Well, I'm sure I can't win whatever there is to win but since these cards are perfect for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge, I just thought that perhaps some of you might like to see it. (I had posted these 3 days before the challenge for last week's Mojo Monday Challenge.) For anyone that's not playing at CAS-ual Fridays yet, although from last week's entires it seems as though EVERYONE Is playing, GO CHECK OUT THE SITE! It's AWESOME!

I loved the sketch so much I actually made 4 cards ... I think they turned out pretty darn cute too!

I used Close to my Heart Papers and Verve Stamps for these 4 cards

I didn't see that we were suppose to add a sentiment to the bottom right until I had completed them ... oops, I thought about adding a wee frame but I didn't think it really needed any more.

Last card; I LOVE the adorable mushrooms! I have had a little bag of these CTMH cardboard buttons sitting for what feels like a decade ... so happy to have finally used them!
♥ And here's a pic of all 4 together; a delightful little card family ♥
Thanks so much for taking the time to look at my blog; I hope your day is extra special today!

Play Date Cafe; Challenge #78

More fantastically fabulous color inspiration from the Play Date Cafe this week!
I needed to make some baby cards so I used a new (to me) CTMH stamp set. I made a few like this, with the pink image and a number of more "boy" cards too with a little boy image stamped in blue. Nothing very fancy but I'm glad they're done and I have a few on hand now.

All products are CTMH here today. Colors are Tulip, Blush, Lilac Mist and White Daisy.

Have a very Happy Easter Weekend.

Best wishes for a beautiful day full of smiles, love, laughter and many blessings!

CASE Study Challenge #36

Here's the beautiful card we are to use as inspiration from CASE Study Challenge. I studied it. I CASED it ... in my own way ... I usually try to make a quick sketch on scratch paper to take with me into my scrappin room but I didn't this time ... mine came out pretty close though. With sincere Gratitude for the inspiration, A huge THANKS to the incredible Silke Ledlow

I've been really wanting to try making these paper flowers for quite sometime and finally gave it a go the other night ... not too bad for my first try .... I made this card for my beautiful and amazing Mom for Mother's Day. I wasn't sure exactly what to do with the flowers once I made them ... I was originally going to group them where the bow is but then I couldn't find a stamp I liked to go in the circle ... so I went this direction .... I have a Verve-valicious parcel on it's way, full of new stamps to stamp the inside but I thought this Verve stamp I already had would be a perfect sentiment for the outside of her card. All paper and inks, brads and "cherish" tag are by CTMH.

Thank YOU very much for looking and have a splendid day!

Gettin My Mojo On Man Style :)

Have I ever told you how much I love my husband?
Well, I do. I adore him. He had a really bad mountain biking accident over 5 years ago and can barely walk now. He has had 8 major surgeries ...
"he smashed his foot off".
Needless to say, it changed our lives. Shortly after his accident, the twins were babies, had just turned one, I began to notice that they were not "typical" and we began the long and agonizing process of having them diagnosed.
They both have Autism.
So let's say we have had some challenges in the last 5 years.
But let's focus on how incredibly blessed and fortunate we are.
Between you and me, my husband really is my hero.
But I tend to be a bit of a tough cookie, a little on the sarcastic side, a bit rough around the edges towards him sometimes.
So when he does something helpful ... I often say in my dry tone,
"Super Dear. What do you want? A hero badge?"
I know. I'm a meanie.
Thank God he loves me.
I made him this card today ... because, some where, down deep, I have a very soft place in my heart for this wonderful and amazing husband and Daddy.
He really is my Hero.
Here's the sketch from Mojo Monday this week

Here's my card for my husband ... complete with pop off "hero badge"

Thanks for looking and have a delightful day!

Challenge Combo ❀ Verve Sketch ❀ Embellish Colors

❀ The incredible and Beautiful Sketch. Love it! ❀

❀ The Lovely Spring Colors + Crochet Trim Challenge from Embellish ❀

I used CTMH card stock, Verve Stamps, CTMH Ink, Dollar Store Crochet Ribbon, and a Martha Stewart Punch. I stamped and sanded all the paper. I inked the crochet trim and then over-lapped it with another strip of crochet trim that I didn't ink. Not really lovin' it.

❀ Thanks for Looking and Have a Great day! ❀

Oh Happy Day to YOU ✿ Play Date Cafe Challenge

Fun times are being had over at the cafe!
Scrumptious goodies to eat up, all completely fat free!
Check it out; go have some fun:
The bunnies are back! My yard is full of cute little bunnies, (I say they're cute now but just wait until summer comes and I'm fighting to defend my garden from the pesky rabbits!), cute little bunnies and lovely, happy tulips! Happy Spring Everyone! So with the inspiration of my yard and the Play Date Cafe I quickly created this fast and easy little card using my Cricut, (I think this is Give a Hoot) and a CTMH stamp.
Sorry Play Date Peeps, I had to add a wee splash of color for the tulips, I had intended to keep to the challenge colors and make them white but they just didn't show up enough ... is that okay?

A huge and happy Thank YOU for looking today!
Hope your day is wonderful and full of much love and many blessings!
